The Voyager Golden Records are data disks with image and audio information that were stored on board the two interstellar

Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacecraft. The data disks were made as messages to extraterrestrials in the hope that

any intelligent, extraterrestrial life forms could learn about humanity and its position in the universe,

even if the probability of this happening is extremely low and humanity may then no longer exist.

With an estimated lifespan of 500 million years, however, the plates should at least bear witness to the fact that humans existed.
